People in the twenty-first century have a higher standard of living than prior generations. To what extent do you agree or disagree?
The quality of life for society in the twenty-first century is thought to be significantly higher than in previous centuries. In this essay, I will explain why I completely agree with this statement, as life in the twenty-first century is more convenient as a result of technological advancements and significant advances in medical sciences.
To begin, I feel that humans in the twenty-first century have a superior quality of life to their forebears due to technical improvements. Because of current technologies and devices, people’s lives have become more convenient and comfortable. They’ve changed the way people travel, interact, and enjoy themselves. For example, a person may now order a taxi or groceries to be delivered to his or her door with just a few phone calls thanks to the internet. These services were not available in past centuries. As a result, the standard of living in the twenty-first century greatly exceeds that of earlier centuries.
Furthermore, medical knowledge was restricted at prior ages, which resulted in a greater mortality rate owing to illnesses, lowering the quality of life. Whereas, in this century, medicine has grown at an exponential rate, allowing it to save millions of lives each year. New advances in treatment approaches, disease diagnosis, and eradication are lowering mortality rates. For example, in the twenty-first century, mankind has been able to eradicate some severe diseases with the use of vaccines.
In conclusion, I completely agree that there has been a considerable improvement in the quality of life of individuals living in the twenty-first century compared to previous periods as life has become more convenient and medicine has advanced.
