IELTS Writing Task 1: Site of a school

Sample Band 9 Answer:

The two images contrast how a school was organized in the year. 2004 with a suggested site layout for 2024.

It is certain that the construction of a new school building will be the primary development for 2024. When that happens, the school will be able to accommodate a lot more children.

There were 600 students enrolled in the school in 2004, and a path leading from the main entrance to the sports field divided the two buildings. There will likely be 1000 students enrolled by 2024, and a third building will have been built. Additionally, a shorter walkway that simply connects the two original buildings will be created by joining them together.

A new, smaller sports field must be installed because the third building and a second parking lot will be constructed on the old sports field’s location. The main entrance will be connected to the second parking lot by a new road as well.

The primary entrance and original parking lot will not be altered.
