Sample Band 6 Answer
A group of people argue that students should be provided a number of short holidays whereas others think that they should given a long leave during the study year. In my opinion, i contented that pupils should given multiple short vacations during the year. This essay will describe some of the merits of both viewpoints.
There are some of the benefits of having bulk of short vacations during the whole year. Holiday policies are depends on the several kind of the education centers in the different part of the world. In some schools, these kind of short holidays allows children to get a fresh mind during the two or three continuous weeks of the study as well as their parents can spend a short while with their younger one’s from their Busy schedules. As usual students oftenly prefer to go outside, they can visit to their relatives and neighbours and also may go to some theme parks and playground which will help them to remain fit as well as overcome from regular study burden and stress. For instance, a short holidays can offer a valuable time period for other hobbies which he/she can have other than school study. If pupil does devote some time to their hobbies during the short holidays this can lead to a fair career in their interested area.
Same as short holidays, long holidays also have some of the merits to discuss. These long vacations may consider one to two month holiday for every student. Therefore, childrens can visit with their parents on summer or winter family trip may be to the other country this would provide an opportunity to childrens to go abroad in one way but also they can gain lot of knowledge of the culture and tradition of the other region. For example, if a student love to travel and get interest in geography or favourite subject can get an chance to explore their education in same area.
To sum up, both vacations have numerous benefits to students as well as their parents. I believe that short holidays can give a chance to student to get stress free from their regular studies. Multiple holidays are more helpful as well as beneficial to students.

An ‘authentic’ question? TA – this is a very easy question that encourages you to ‘describe’ rather than to ‘explain’// CC – because you mostly describe there isn’t a sense of development in the writing. You mainly write a series of points. There is very little evidence for me to assess. There is some cohesion between sentences in para 1 but CC inside some sentence is faulty// :LR – there is some use of collocation// G – this is a problem area. Every sentence contains a mistake and most of the sentences are quite simple. Every attempt at a more complex sentence is incorrect. Punctuation is faulty in a few places, which is the main reason I’ve limited the band
