Sample Band 6 Answer
Language plays the most important role for any communication between individuals. It has been said that each year certain languages extinct. Some people believe that this concern is not important as fewer languages will make life easy. This essay will discuss about this issue before reaching a rational conclusion.

As a result of globalization, due to its indirect effect several languages die out every year. First of all, as the usage of internationally spoken language such as English is increasing day by day, due to its adverse impact and encouragement many locally spoken languages are dying out, for example, many parents are using English language in front of their child, so that he/she can develop it rapidly, despite of their native language. Apart from this, influence over learning English is increasing because of its utilization in every field of work. So, all these factors lead to deceleration in the use of several languages and eventually it dies.

Some individuals support the above given fact and think that it makes life very easy. Firstly, because of utilization and development of some foreign languages in social and work life, it reduces the gap between people in the whole world. They all unite and contribute to development of whole world not only to their region or nation. Finally, as a future result career opportunity for all individuals increases and it will open doors to every part of the world.

In a nutshell, I am of opinion that less international languages will increase efficiency of the people of whole world and every nation will get equal chance to participate in that development.

What is a “rational” conclusion? TA – how is para 2 relevant to the question? There is no need for you to explain the statement which should be regarded as a fact. The content of paragraph 3 is far too superficial. Where are the “relevant examples” that are a requirement of T2? There is the much deeper level of culture that you neglect// CC – “As a result” & “due to” in the same sentence to open para 2! You use some cohesion to link sentences/ideas but the use of “So” & “Finally” is basic// LR – there is enough strong collocation and “open doors to” is the type of appropriate idiom that is needed for a strong band// G – there isn’t a wide range of grammar patterns. Passive? Conditional sentences? Modal verbs? Relative pronouns? Verb patterns are mostly correct but there are missing articles in places and punctuation isn’t perfect
So, I’d say:
//TA – 6 (close to 5 for being off topic)
// CC – 6 (check the use of despite/in spite of)
// LR – 8 (close to 9 but there are a few odd word choices)
//G – 6 (I’m being strict)
//Overall = 6.5 (7.0 is within grasp).
