Sample Band 7 Answer
All countries have an educational system which measures students’ knowledge. Many students do not get great results and they cannot graduate from school but some of these people achieve their personal goals and have success in their lives. From my point of view, schooling has standard evaluations to measure students in different places. On the other hand, in schools, there are many fields of study which are not developed and success is achieved when people develop other complementary skills.
Each individual has a unique mindset/point of view in this world, however since ancient times, our society has tried to make up same standard processes and structures in many different fields such as education. For instance, there are many countries which have set up all kinds of courses or subjects from kindergarten to university and this system created does not give all tools and support to each particular student. Some students cannot feel comfortable and fail because they have other skills not focused on in schools such as painting or drawing.
However, success is a relative word that involve many things not just one, and many people achieve this success when they reach a new levels or experience in their lives, for example getting married, launching new projects and getting a job. Moreover, if we define success as having much money, then many rich people have reached their fortune without basic studies and they have achieved these important dreams because they have improved their social skills, improvisation and specific knowledge.
To conclude, if educational systems pay more attention to each individual and make up a different structure, many students will develop more skills to succeed. Nevertheless, success is not always related with studies, and there are other abilities needed to achieve these personal goals because success is not the same for everyone.

TA – Where is your introduction? What are you writing about? Where do you show the examiner that you understand the question? The question is about success in life, not weaknesses in assessment in schools. “What is the most important thing to succeed in life?” – where is your answer to this?// CC – 3 paragraphs or 4? It is very difficult to follow an argument in your writing. Carrier nouns would help// LR – native speaker standard but slightly conversational in tone. There are a couple of word choices I don’t understand that prevent 9 (eg “improvisation and specific knowledge. “)// G – there could be a greater range of grammar structures, not just to “show off” but to persuade the reader by the way you make your points. . There are a (very) few slips that are not native speaker usage (eg “having much money, “/”reach a new levels”/”give all tools and support “)
So, I’d say:
//TA – 5 (close to 4)// CC – 6 (5 if 3 paragraphs)
// LR – 8 (so close to 9)
// G – 8 (might be 9)
//Overall = 7.0
(7.5 wouldn’t surprise me if TA doesn’t fall to 4). You haven’t done any preparation have you? This performance is typical of a native speaker who thinks he doesn’t have to practise/prepare for IELTS. You need to read more to become acquainted with the genre/idiom (not idioms).
