Sample Band 7 Answer
In our times, many developments and discoveries have been made leading to great change in all life aspects.Even life spans have increased due to new health technologies. Some people assure that life today is better than ever. However, in my view, those developments have adversely influenced our way of living.
Firstly, new inventions have turned people nowadays into dependent individuals who rely on technology in every detail of their lives. Passive attitude has also resulted from the dependence. Using Auto correction is a good example of that, leading people to rely on computers and smart phones to do such a simple task. This trend can reflect to everyday life acts leaving a negative impact on everyones life.
In addition, developments in technology have made people increasingly isolated and lacking the essential social nature of humanity. As people depend more on technical ways to contact with each other, such as social media or text messaging, they become increasingly closed and casted away. Some people might even reach the level of sociophobia. This complication is spreading widely today as the usage of technology for communication is becoming more depended on rather than direct contact.
To sum up, evolution might be for some people a good contribution to our lives, yet these changes have a dark side that has an unfavorable impact on our activeness, and on social life as well. So we should learn how to take control of technology rather than letting technology take control of us in order to maintain a good quality of life.

In the intro you use an incorrect verb pattern for assure.. And also with reflect is para2 . So verb patterns/colligation is something you need to pay attention to TA – you deal with the question very well but you dont touch on postponing death at all. Is it absolutely clear to the reader to what extent you agree/disagree?// CC – Why start a paragraph with Firstly when by reading feedback on posts you should be aware that that is suicidal for anyone aiming for 7? Make sure you have a clear topic sentence (which you do in this case) and develop your point(s).// LR – there are a couple of spelling/word formation errors. Collocation is adequate// G – verb patterns (including dependent prepositions) & articles are weak areas// So, Id say: TA – 6 (see my comments above ¶ 3 lacks a specific example)// CC – 7 (cohesion is good. Using firstly cost you a band)// LR – 7// G – 7 ( i considered 8 and feel you are quite close)// = 7.0.
