Sample Band 7 Answer
In today’s world, nobody can lead their life smoothly without considering the importance of news and evidence in our day to day life.For this purpose, one school of thought believes that the print media such as newspapers, are the principle source and the perfect way to collect the details of various happenings, around the globe. However, others contradict this opinion and believe that various better options have arose, to keep people aware of news and casts, all around the world.
From ancient civilization to modern world, print media has always been a famous tool to keep public aware of facts and figures. The development of print media, from a paper to the pages of newspaper, is the greatest achievement for newspaper lovers. For example, most of the elderly people still consider it a very convenient source of getting information. Moreover, they prefer to spare their time by sitting, relaxing and reading it, in order to kill their time, in a very efficient manner.
However,if we look at other perspective, there are various means to stay updated, such as television, radio, social medias, messengers and applications like whatsapp. In this world of high standards and competition, majority of youngsters dont get time to invest their time on reading newspapers, so they prefer to stay knowledgeable by other smart ways. For example, they utilize their dead time while driving, by turning on their radios and surfing different websites for knowing the world affairs during their leisure hours. Hence, they organize themselves meticulously and at the same time with updated and certainly with vast knowledge.
Therefore, notwithstanding the fact, that the impact of newspapers was the most popular source in the past. Having said that, i personally believe that in this modern era, more better ways are present to figure out the details of daily affairs.

This is a very badly worded question which could be interpreted in a number of ways. “Collect information”? I hope you haven’t been on IELTS Liz’s website. TA – what is the purpose of your introduction? How does it help the reader? you deal with the question well. Despite a poor conclusion, the opinion you give is the obvious one so your view is clear// CC – there is a sense of development// LR – there is collocation but also a lot of odd word combinations that would puzzle a native speaker// G -there are a few minor slips with articles and verbs form. But while errors are rare so is evidence of complex sentence patterns. The passive? Conditionals? Relative pronouns? Participle clauses? An odd use of commas in some places
So, I’d say:
//TA – 7
//CC – 7
// LR – 7 (could be 6)
// G – 7 (closer to 6 than 8)
//Overall = 7.0. But I don’t feel that choosing this question helps your preparation.
